Born through COVID, a season of personal darkness and the arrival of Ana Rose, Mel + Ana became Melana — also echoing the Ancient Greek melaina, meaning “dark.”

What We Carry
Mediterranean heritage carried jewellery, symbolism and a sensitivity to what lies between the seen and unseen. Biology and ecology brought another lens: patterns, cycles and the living world.
